 Dan Satterberg, King County Prosecuting Attorney, will offer insights into the phenomenon of victim recantation in the criminal prosecution of domestic violence cases and will talk about the support that vulnerable victims need to change their lives and end the abuse. He will play recordings of abusers' phone calls to victims to provide a look at how abusers intimidate their victims.

 Mehrdad Ghassemieh is a partner at MG Law Group, PLLC, where his practice focuses on international tax, tax planning, and estate planning. His practice also includes international tax compliance support including FBAR reporting, FATCA reporting, and offshore voluntary disclosure program assistance. Prior to MG Law Group, Mehrdad practiced in the international tax department of KPMG LLP, where he served as tax adviser to multiple international companies, including large partnerships, corporations and Fortune 500 entities. Mehrdad obtained an LLM in taxation from the University of Washington.
